Rains Of Japan

You face the silence
With the courage of pain
Truth heard above the
Thunder of rain
Is the sun heading in the right directions
Is the glow of the moon
Giving you affections
Your love I tried to understand
But soon will come the rains of Japan
Gisas on the side of the roadway
Where the only language is love
Taken from the moon above
Face the silence
For the love of a promised land
Soon will come
The rains of Japan
Soon will come my tears
The pain of my years
Don't want to be guigene
In a foreign land
Soon will come
The rains of Japan

Standing Ovation

Once I did bad and that I heard for ever
Twice I did good and that I heard never
If you say you're going through with the plans in your life
To have a few kids, a home and a wife
Then remember those words from a famous man
You're no standing ovation in this promised land.

And when love comes knocking at your front door
Don't turn it away even though your heart's sore
For many loves you've lost in the past
You cried out in pain that they would be the last
As days wear on and your heart runs dry
Liquid sunshine pours in and you never know why

Springsteen said "Everybody's got a hungry heart"
You think of a man who's scared to make a new start
Some people have no hopes and they have no dreams
They never go anywhere in life it seems
So remember remember the farmer who will always stay in his home town
He works for himself and he will never be anyones clown
He has caught wind of those words from that famous man
And he is no standing ovation in his promised land

The ovation is a shiver you left out on the floor
Just when you though the band wasn't coming back for more
The ovation a feeling you left out in the hall
Just when you thought her love was returning
She was only taking it all
The ovation is a child you left out of your life
The ovation is the love making you never gave your wife
